Eyebrows

Is wax good for eyebrows?
When you get your eyebrows waxed, the hair tends to grow back slightly softer and thinner. Over time, if you keep up with waxing, your dense, coarse eyebrows will become a thing of the past. Beyond the thickness of the hair, waxing also helps the hair grow back into your desired shape and direction.

Wax results can last up to 6 weeks, although this depends on many factors. This doesn’t mean, however, that during this long time you are hair-free. Probably around 3 or 4 weeks you’ll begin to see new hair growth.

Do eyebrow waxes hurt?
Your first wax will probably hurt a little bit, but it will get better each time. The hair underneath, in between brows, and on top (if you wish) will be removed.

Do eyebrows grow back after a wax?
Once a hair has been removed from the root, a new one starts to grow in its place. While it does take time for the new hairs to be visible above the surface of the skin – the growth cycle of eyebrow hairs can take anywhere between four to six weeks – you can rest assured that they are indeed growing back.

At what age should you start waxing your eyebrows?
For plucking, the aesthetician recommends waiting until 20 to avoid accidental over-tweezing. For waxing, she recommends waiting until at least 14, the year skin sensitivity starts to drop off.

How often should you wax eyebrows?
Brows should be waxed every 3 to 4 weeks

But even that can be too often. Brow master Stevi Christine agrees, telling Allure, “When your brows appear too thin, the shape is off, or they don’t look related,” it usually means you need to take a break and let your brow hair grow out.
